Welcome to Platinum's New Headquarters

We believe the requirements of ISO 9001 are clear but often misinterpreted and misrepresented. We also believe the relationship with registrars and registered organizations has turned upside down, and most registrars have forgotten their clients have a choice in who they use for ISO 9001 registration.

The industry has reached a critical phase. Many companies are pushing suppliers to become registered to ISO 9001. Yet due to unenlightened auditors, phantom requirements, lazy auditing, and poor oversight by registrar top management, companies are achieving registration without adding value to their operations (in fact, we have discovered many cases where the behavior of auditors and registrars have reduced efficiency and organizational effectiveness).

Effective communication and honest evaluations of the entire industry can help achieve a new reality.

How Frequently Should We Perform Management Review? Registrars accredited by ANAB and other IAF accreditation schemes require annual review at a minimum. After that, our experts indicate, "it depends."
How can my part-time internal auditors do a good job auditing against ISO 9001? While the standard is clear, the experts describe various approaches to making sure internal audits address conformity to the standard.
